Wake Me Up!
Entertaining, fun and informative, this newly launched workshop is a wonderful introductory session to how companies can use stories to drive results. Filled with real life examples including video and audio clips, the workshop helps you to see how other companies are engaging this powerful tool as well as provides a facilitated environment to brainstorm applications for your own company.
Learning to Tell a Story Powerfully
Most managers and executives have been trained to "cut to the chase,"
to lay out the bullet points, and, in general, to make their communication as conceptual as possible. As useful as this strategy may be much of the time, relying exclusively on conceptual communication is like walking on one leg: you can do it, but long distances go much better if you add the second leg.

If you want to persuade or inspire as well as inform, your second leg is narrative communication. Storytelling engages the non-linear parts of your listeners' minds, stimulates your listeners to become active participants in imagining your message, improves retention and perceived relevance, and allows listeners to claim ownership of the meanings they receive. This increases buy-in and motivation while reducing resistance.

This workshop will give you the tools to combine narrative with facts for powerful results.

“The Renual facilitator's perspective and guidance on storytelling enabled us to transcend our paradigms for communicating with each other. Telling stories that shape people's understanding of business issues is liberating.”
